For the past few months, Crown Point Optometry has participated in a program called Starter Company. This program is designed for new small business owners and has a few components, including training, grants, business plan writing and mentoring. This money has been used to modernize and grow the practice under the new ownership of Dr. Suzanne McNeill. It is available in most Ontario communities including Hamilton, and is a great resource for any new entrepreneurs. Participation requires you to be working on your business full time, eg not for full time students, and the minimum age to participate is 18.
